As a way of promoting missionary spirit in children, St. Louis Montfort Parish of Monkey-bay arranged a visit of their Pontifical Missionary Society (PMS) children to St. Louis Montfort Church in Balaka.
Talking about the visit, Sr. Agela Kubota told a Luntha TV reporter that St Louis Montfort Parish in Monkey Bay wants to strengthen the children’s faith by creating an environment whereby children evangelise fellow children.
“The children belong to two groups that serve in Church during mass, serving mass and dancing at the altar,” she said.
Apart from teaching children to know how to pray, the PMS in Malawi wants to encourage among children the spirit of of serving God and the Church right from childhood.
“This is another reason that moved our parish to arrange such a visit to Balaka, where our children can learn from fellow children how they take part in different Church activities,” added Sr Angela.
