Luntha Television is a catholic television station that brings Good News to its viewers through electronic storytelling for their practical and holistic development as a family of God. Though Catholic, Luntha Television recognises and promotes the basic human rights of all people to enjoy television contents that respond to their values and moral principles regardless of religion, sex, tribe, nationality and status. It professionally produces and broadcasts credible content for viewer’s information, relaxation, education, integral human development and spiritual nourishment.
LTV was established in 2005 by the Montfort Missionaries with a motto of “Bringing Wisdom into Your Home”. LTV is licensed as a national broadcaster by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) and was officially launched at Crossroads Hotel on 5th May 2008. LTV is located in Lilongwe, Bishop Nervi House in Area 2 with a sub-office and studio in Balaka.
LTV is currently broadcasting to all 28 districts of Malawi and in another 26 countries. Currently, LTV has a viewership of 5 million people within and outside Malawi. LTV is being broadcast on 10 platforms which include Zuku 51, Starsat 474, Startimes 474, Topstar 474, Kiliyekiliye 007, Gotv 807, Azam 386 and live streams on our YouTube and Facebook platforms.
